Hotel Am Markt Bacharach

The room lacked air conditioning, and there was an additional charge for its use, leading to confusion upon check-in. The Wi-Fi connectivity was unreliable in our room, and the absence of tea and coffee facilities was a minor letdown. Navigating the four floors via a big staircase can be a workout, particularly with heavy luggage.

I loved its welcoming and very polite employees.

Its location was very central, a few steps away from Jozefskapelle. The breakfast was savoury with pork products and scrambled eggs and a latte, you will not be disappointed...

Good service throughout stay. Nice building and rooms with a beautiful view of the rhine. Savoury breakfasts with meats. Location close to the centre of Bacharach and hiking, the Rhine River, wineries and restaurants.

The breakfast buffet was good, with local products and a good variety, perfect for fueling adventures in the charming village.

Parking can be a challenge as there is no assigned parking. You need to use a public car park for a fee.

Good food, very friendly staff and excellent location for walking in the Rhine Valley.

Breakfast featured local products and was superb.

The ground floor of this hotel is a cafe/restaurant so checking in was a bit confusing but we were shown a lovely room which overlooked the main street in Bacharach. The room had excellent facilites and the food in the restaurant was very good indeed.

Excellent location. Beautiful view of vineyards from the higher floors. Easy accessibility to great restaurants, strolls through the beautiful town of Bacharach and Rhine Cruising. Excellent configuration for family with older children in the apartment side of the hotel. Breakfast included, although not as extensive as other places we had stayed, was still very good. Train noise that concerned us from reading other reviews was a non-issue. The trains were not that frequent and we actually found the swooshing sound of the passing trains quite soothing.

A non-issue for our family however, if you are in need of a lift, you might struggle with the stairs at this hotel. The staff seemed somewhat indifferent. They were quite accomodating when we asked for things but were not forthcoming with information and assistance until we asked.

Couldn't recommend more for a weekend adventure

Charming room, good breakfast, as the breakfast buffet featured a wide range of delicious options, including good fresh fruit bread, and the staff was very accommodating, even providing an early check-in option, made our arrival seamless.

It was a charming old and cute little hotel in a central area, near to a bustling town centre and multiple trains and the restaurant downstairs.

I loved exploring the charming streets of Bacharach with my family, especially the fine view from the hilltop castle nearby. Our family suite was spacious and comfortable for our group, including our grandchild.

My children wished there was a small play area for the grandchild.

Located in a lovely medieval village,on the superb Rhine. Clean basic room with good breakfast.

It was on the 3rd floor with stairs but we knew that. Also it was an attic room.

Wonderful location, right in the centre of the old village. Had a shed available to store bicycles.

93 stairs to our room, no free WiFi, and a lap top sized TV with no remote.
